Appointments
Maintenance treatment on healthy animals as part of routine health care or pre or post competition care no longer requires veterinary consent. It is however necessary that your animal is registered with a veterinary practice and I will refer your animal back to your registered vet if any issues are raised during assessment or treatment.
Veterinary consent is required for all referral appointments post injury, illness or surgery in accordance with the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 – this ensures that only qualified professionals treat your animals. Download a consent form from below or call me to discuss your animal’s problems directly and I will then contact your vet to gain approval for treatment.

Physiotherapy costs can now claimed back through many insurance policies on veterinary referral and if treated by a qualified, registered Veterinary Physiotherapist. Check your policy or contact your insurance provider for details.
Please allow 1 - 1½ hours for initial equine appointments and 1 hour for follow up appointments and between 45 minutes and 1 hour for initial canine appointments with 30-45 minutes for follow up appointments. Rest is usually required following treatment so please plan appointments round your training or competition schedule. Plans for follow up treatments will be discussed after your initial consultation.
Please ensure that your animal is clean and dry to allow for accurate assessment. Access to a stable or field shelter is required in order for equine treatments to be carried out safely and a flat area is required for trotting up for gait assessment.
All animals will receive a thorough assessment of conformation, gait and muscle symmetry and a detailed history will be taken.
